Konnichiwa everyone-san! We are in Yokosuka, Japan (just outside Tokyo) for Kevin's job. We are planning on staying for six weeks here in Japan, but it should go fast. We are staying in Base Housing for now, which is nice because we have a little kitchen. We are still adapting to the time change (about 15 hours ahead of Mountain Time). Hopefully we can take some tours to the Japanese countryside or maybe find an authentic Japanese Bed & Breakfast with the short furniture and everything!
There was a typhoon south of our location just off-shore, so the first day and a half was very rainy and cloudy. Everything is very green here. We would hate to have to drive here because you can't read any of the signs and they drive on the left side of the road. We have been off base once to see a local shopping center. Lets just say that their food choices were not that appealing for the most part. A lot of noodles, rice, and fried fish things. STINKY!!!!! Lucky they have a Chilis restaurant just outside our lodging, otherwise we might starve to death here.
Let the adventure begin!
